Horay for Fun Weekends!

Surprise!! Happy Birthday Rajiv! Rajiv turned 26 on May 16 and we didn't do anything but go to our favorite restaurant -Roman Cucina, that day. However, to his delight (or horror), I was concocting a little party for him. He's not the one to like surprises, mostly because all eyes are on him, and he doesn't like being the center of attention (I know, we compliment each other because we're so opposite from each other!). A few of his closest friends came and needless to say he was pretty pleased.

Barb made a fantastic chocolate cake with a delicious strawberry filling. YUMMMY! She really never ceases to amaze me. Her baking skills steadily improve year over year. I'm so impressed with her talents and I couldn't be more proud to call her my friend! I would never be able to make something as delicious or as beautiful as she does...I'm strictly a cook -no pastries here!

I hope everyone had a great time at the party because I sure did! It was great to have some time to catch up with some old and new friends. It's not everyday we get to savor each other's company and it's nice to be reminded that life is worth it when you surround yourself with those you love.

The rest of my weekend was spent with my family. Congrats are due to my cousins Toan and Tram!! Toan is officially an MD and will be starting his residency in Dallas, TX. Yeehaw Ya'll! Tram will be starting her Ph.D. program in Physics at UCSD in the fall. I know, a bunch of brains right? What happened to me?! Needless to say, I'm super proud of them and am always wishing them the best in things to come!
