Hello from Memphis!!

I have finally arrived in my hotel room in Memphis, Tennessee! I'll be here until August 17 for training. I decided my only outlet to home will be blogging. This way, whenever I'm out and about, I'd be able to keep everyone up to date with what's going on in my life!

I left the comfort of home, Southern California, this morning at 8:30AM and arrived in Dallas, Texas by 1:30PM CST. The flight there was boring and seemed to take forever, but as I looked out and down upon Texas, I realized how amazing California truly is!! There was nothing but vast land in Texas, and I couldn't help but think -What the heck do they do out here?! Aside from the smog and traffic, I have to admit, my heart will stay in CA forever!! We're such a melting pot, hodgepodge of great things and great people. From Dallas, I flew to Memphis. It was another tremendously boring flight -I do have to admit though, I loved listening to everyone's thick Southern accents. All I could think of when finally setting foot in TN, was -IT'S DAMN HOT here!! I mean the hot like in Vietnam hot! Humid and sweaty...I got to the hotel and felt like I needed a shower ASAP!

The hotel they have us staying in is awesome! i was pleasantly suprised when I walked in. We each get our own rooms which is really nice. Below are some pictures of my room. I love the TV. That's a nice addition to the room...and the little living room area is pretty nice too. My only gripe -it seems as though we're in the middle of nowhere. There's no real metropolitan area around, so I can't wander the streets and walk around to explore. I'll have to think of something!

Now I'm going to get some rest. The people in the training class are going to meet up for dinner. It should be interesting to meet everyone. I'm curious as to how everyone will get along in the next two weeks. I hope it doesn't end up being dramatic and "Real World" -esque, because I don't know if I can handle that!!!
