Day 3: Staying Low Key

Today's highlights include: Executive VP of Marketing/Sales, Sr. VP of International Sales, and a trip to Walgreens.
Today was a very low key day. It definitely didn't include any trips to the Cockeyed Camel nor any excessive drinks. However, it was a pretty good day nonetheless.
Training was miserable (besides for the speakers). It was boring and frankly, some of it was very difficult and hard to follow. All these reports and tools are great and I'm so glad to have them at my disposal, but it's hard to grasp all of the reports at once. Hard to believe that we're only on day 3 of training...9 days are left. We've still got a lot more material to cover -we've only begun to scrape the surface. It makes me a little nervous to tell you the truth, but I am so excited to get out there and start selling. I really think I'm going to kill it out there!!
After training we worked on some homework and projects. Yeah, we have work to do after work. Can you really believe it?! I feel like I'm in school all over again, but hell -at least this time I get paid for it!! While we worked on our assignments, the hotel treated us to a "Manager's Mixer" with cheese, fruit, chips/salsa, and three whole varieties of beer! :)
For dinner, a couple of us decided to go off the beaten path. One of the reps rented a car and a couple of us went to dinner at a nice little Italian place called Ronnie Gratsiani. The food was fairly decent, but definitely expensive. I do have to say the server was amazing! He was one of the nicest people I've met out here...and seriously -the southerners are NICE! It is really nice to be with a handful of people at a time and really enjoy their company while getting to know them. I believe I've interacted with everyone during my short stay here. I'm sure It'll only get better. What's funny is that some people's true colors are starting to show!! One rep is getting a really bad rap so far. They're very nice on a one and one basis, but they have really started grating on people's last nerve! Before this person asks a question, they always preface with "I'm sorry, this may be a stupid question..." or "um I'm not sure if this is the right question to ask..." etc. EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!! It drives me nuts! I've also heard that this person has asked (while on a bus to a bar) everyone of the opposite sex on board, if they are married. It's really hilarious to me!

OK, well I'm hitting the sack a little early today so off I go! Miss you So Cal!!!!!
